Amid the accelerating global energy transition, South Asia is witnessing new opportunities for renewable energy cooperation. Recently, the Bangladesh Sustainable and Renewable Energy Association (BSREA) officially joined the Asian Photovoltaic Industry Association (APVIA) as a member of its Steering Committee. This marks a significant step for Bangladesh’s renewable energy sector in regional collaboration and international engagement, injecting fresh momentum into the country’s clean energy transition.

APVIA is one of the most influential photovoltaic industry organizations in Asia, bringing together companies, research institutes, and industry associations from across the region. APVIA is committed to promoting the global development of the photovoltaic industry, advancing technological innovation, and accelerating the adoption of cutting-edge clean energy solutions.
Founded in 2011, BSREA is one of the most prominent industry associations in Bangladesh’s sustainable and renewable energy sector. Its members represent a diverse range of stakeholders, including businesses, NGOs, and academic and research institutions. Over the years, BSREA has been dedicated to promoting solar, wind, and biomass energy technologies, engaging in policy advocacy, industry research, and capacity building to help create a greener and more efficient energy system for Bangladesh.
We warmly welcome BSREA to join in the APVIA. As a key driver of clean energy in Bangladesh, BSREA’s participation will further enrich APVIA’s regional collaboration network and enhance South Asia’s presence in the Asian photovoltaic landscape. Through the APVIA platform, BSREA is expected to contribute its valuable experience and expertise from Bangladesh and the wider South Asian region, playing an active role in the committee and joint initiatives.
Looking ahead, APVIA and BSREA will work together to explore the latest trends in the photovoltaic and renewable energy industries, foster innovation, policy alignment, and market integration, and build a more open, inclusive, and sustainable regional cooperation framework. We believe this partnership will inject new vitality into the high-quality development of Asia’s solar industry and contribute to global energy transition and sustainability goals.
